The SHC elevator is the only battery operated elevator model on the market. This feature enables the elevator to travel in both directions even in a power outage. Another unique feature to the lift is its sliding cab door that stays completely inside the elevator. The internal cab door removes the need for extra space required by traditional swing out doors.
Standard lift specifications include: Battery operation, 400 lb. capacity and up to 14′ of travel. The lift plugs into a standard 110 VAC outlet and only requires a floor cutout for installation. The elevator is designed to meet A17.1-2010/CSA B44-10 section 5.3, Part V of ASME for private residence elevators. SHC elevators are sold through a dealer network in North America and also branded as the easy climber elevator.
